Berries galore!

There are berries to be gathered, everywhere we turn!  All over the city the mulberries, currents, raspberries and service (saskatoon) berries have ripened.  We now carry collecting baskets with us at all times, just in case we come across a delicious patch.  In our own yard the black and red currants and blueberries are also ready for harvest.  The Neighbourhood Forager is a great resource book for those who are interested in pursuing urban wild food harvesting.  Wild grapes will be ready next...and then rosehips...and then...
