Inspired and enthralled by all the fantastic musicians at our seeding sale last weekend, our daughter has been busy composing songs to the hens and keeping them entertained with her guitar picking.

Thanks to everyone who came out to our 10th annual Seedling Sale this past Saturday! We had a great time and hope you did too...lovely warm sunny weather, lively banjo, fiddle & guitar music, rows and rows of beautiful seedlings, tasty baked treats, many smiling faces of community members... A very special thank you to all our hard-working vendors, volunteers and musicians who made this event the success it was.

May is a busy month around here. We're getting into full swing as we plan, plant and tend the garden...the early plantings in the garden are coming up: peas, mizuna, lettuce, spinach, asparagus, rhubarb, parlsey, dill, garlic, green onions, chives, kale, all the perennials and wild edibles (red orach, sorrel, nettle, lambs quarters, dandelion); fruit trees & berries are flowering: cherry, apple, currants, gooseberries, strawberries; greenhouse brimming with seedlings, just waiting for a few more weeks before tomatoes, peppers and eggplants can be taken outdoors...a lovely, busy, vibrant time these days.
