Handmade holiday sale - snowy festive night!

What a beautiful festive night, with our first real snowfall making it all feel so wintery and magical.  Thanks to all of you who dropped by our sale, and the talented artisans who provided such lovely thoughtfully handmade goods to purchase and who braved the cold weather at our outdoor sale!  We wish you all a warm and happy December!

A Little Bird Told Me Handmade Holiday Sale on Sat, Dec 10 from 4-8 pm. 

The line-up of vendors is exciting, with 10+ unique vendors making lovely handmade goods.  It's especially unique as each vendor tries their best to focus on eco-conscious goods, using organic, natural and upcycled materials in their work.  You'll find everything from home goods for the kitchen, to clothing, to woolen slippers, to toys and lanterns, to soaps and botanicals, to baked goods and chocolate truffles.

Esther produces a simple range of functional pottery intended for everyday use in your home such as cups, bowls, espresso and wine cups, milk pitchers and serving pieces.  An active member of the Waterloo Potters' Workshop, Esther has been making pottery for some time.  Pieces range from porcelain to stoneware.  Recently Esther has been pulled back to reduction fired shino glaze, but you will still find a variety of other glazes like celedon, satin white and blue in her range. Also new this year - ceramic kraut making crocks!

Mark your calendars!  Our annual A Little Bird Told Me Handmade Holiday Sale is now only about 8 weeks away.  Saturday, December 10th, from 4-8 pm at Little City Farm.

We are excited to host this beautiful sale every year, bringing together a variety of local artisans who create unique items with an eco-conscious mind.  Many of the items are made with reclaimed or repurposed materials, and others are made using organic ingredients or natural materials.

Our house will be filled with a talented assortment of local artisans and crafters, featuring their unique handmade items with an eco-conscience.  Items are made from natural or organic materials/ingredients, and/or from upcycled/recycled materials.

Jesse from Black Arrow Cycles will be here with his unique jewelry and home goods made from recycled bicycle parts.  You will find earrings made from intricately cut inner tubes; candle holders made from cogsets; bottle openers made from bicycle chain; and more.  We love the black inner tube feather earrings!

Our Homestead Herbals online shop is back with a brand new look (thanks to our great friend and local designer Taarini Chopra).  We have many of the tried-and-true favourite items back, and we'll be adding many more new products throughout the next few weeks. 

In our shop you'll find handmade natural & organic herbal products such as salves, oils, and loose-leaf teas;  handmade soaps and eco home decor for your whole family.  Please visit us on our etsy store and check back often.  Everything is made in small batches, with care right here in our farm kitchen/work space.We're very excited to soon be offering more new items such as:
